What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash via Supabase). We also store the data you actively create: journal entries, readiness check answers, and tracked stocks.
What we don't collect
We do not collect or store your portfolio holdings, brokerage account details, PAN/Aadhaar numbers, financial transactions, or any other sensitive personal or financial information.
How we use your data
Your data is used exclusively to provide the Understock service: personalising your journal, saving your readiness check answers, and maintaining your account. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.
Data storage
Your account data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on infrastructure in the European Union. We apply row-level security to ensure your data is accessible only to you.
Third-party services
Understock uses Supabase for authentication and database services, and Anthropic's API for AI-generated analysis. AI queries include the company's public financial data as context — your personal information is never sent to AI APIs.
Cookies
We use cookies solely for authentication (to keep you logged in). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Data deletion
You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@understock.in with the subject 'Delete my account'. We will remove all your personal data within 30 days.
